"My daughter's pet cockateil was perched on her shoulder when a drop-in visitor slammed the door open, causing the bird to startle and take flight right out the open door (on 10-17-2000). This has been a horrifying loss for our family. We never knew how much he meant to us untill now. My poor little girl hasn't had dry eyes in about two weeks now. I know the chances of us ever finding our bird are next to none. I know its ridiculous to even try. We love him so much, I just had to post just one more ad for him. The reason I think he just might have a chance is because we've completely tamed him, He loves and trusts people so much that I think that if he were to get hungry or cold enough that he might have flown down and landed on some unsuspecting gardener. If this should happen, I just want everyone to know that he's missed. He is mostly yellow, with a few grey feathers in his wings and with bright orange cheeks. If you see anything like this in your yard, please let me know. I'll trav! el far and wide to ease my daughters heartbreak. Thank you all." Contact Tracy Rhodes at 540-785-8139 or via email.

We posted flyers everywhere and have called an ad into the paper. We left all of our info with our local animal control and SPCA.
